Study Measures the Positive Impact of Workplace Flexibility

April 1st, 2010

Many of the healthcare employers that we work with support workplace flexibility.  Now, a study from The Boston College Center for Work & Family finds evidence that job flexibility is a benefit to both employees and employers.  Some of the most notable positive impacts uncovered in the study include: increase in productivity, better quality of work and higher employee retention.

Here are some of the highlights:

“70% of managers and 87% of employees reported… a positive or very positive impact on productivity.”

“65% of managers and 87% of employees reported… a positive or very positive impact on quality of work.”

“76% of managers and 80% of employees indicated… positive effects on retention.”
